Reid's "doc fix" fails 47-53
By: Phil Kerpen
Senate rejected Reid’s cynical attempt to pass a $245 billion increase in Medicare reimbursements for doctors as a stand-alone bill to hide the cost of ObaamCare and buy support from doctors.
The vote was a setback for a cynical attempt to manipulate the CBO scoring process and buy support for a Washington takeover of health care at the cost of $245 billion dollars of new deficit spending. Senate leaders thought nobody would stand up to their legislative trickery, but they were wrong. Hundreds of thousands of activists pushed back and demanded accountability and an honest process, and 13 Democratic Senators joined all 40 Republicans in listening to the American people and voting no.
